Tailored for individuals holding a Chemistry degree or related qualifications, this course equips participants with cutting-edge expertise in contemporary chemical sciences, emphasizing hands-on laboratory techniques and substantial research involvement. Students conduct their research under the supervision of a full-time faculty member, participating in all stages of a significant research project from conception to final documentation. This program fosters diverse practical and computational abilities.
MSc (Res): A one-year research-intensive Master's program. Participants undertake a full-time research initiative culminating in a dissertation of maximum 30,000 words. This serves as an ideal pathway for those seeking either an independent research qualification or preparatory experience for doctoral studies.

Chemistry plays a pivotal role in addressing two key 21st-century challenges: (i) ensuring reliable energy sources and (ii) reducing dependence on unsustainable fossil fuel-based materials. These objectives require (i) advancing renewable energy technologies and storage solutions, and (ii) creating sustainable methodologies that enhance current processes while utilizing renewable materials. Our Energy, Environmental and Sustainable Chemistry research leverages specialized knowledge in areas like electrochemistry, innovative materials, spectroscopy, molecular structure, catalysis, computational methods, and gas separation to confront these issues.
This research focus tackles pressing worldwide concerns regarding climate change, sustainability, and ecological preservation. Our work encompasses exploring advanced materials for energy solutions, pioneering sustainable production techniques, resource recovery methods, and studying environmental chemical behaviors. EaStCHEM's objectives in this domain span from foundational process comprehension to practical industrial implementations and technological advancements.
