This program offers advanced study in Italian, Persian, and Spanish through research-focused coursework, enabling students to explore how knowledge evolves and expands. Participants will develop skills in independent learning, characterized by curiosity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum leads to a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits (typically 120 per academic year). The initial two years combine mandatory program-specific courses with elective options (potentially including cross-faculty modules). The final years focus on specialized, research-driven study through discipline-specific advanced modules. The first two years blend core program requirements with selected electives (which may include interdisciplinary offerings), while the latter years emphasize tailored, research-intensive coursework.
