This program offers advanced study of Italian and Spanish, including an Integrated Year Abroad, with a focus on research-driven learning. Students will explore how knowledge evolves through creation, advancement, and renewal. The curriculum fosters independent learning, emphasizing curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 60 months, it leads to a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring 540 credits total (typically 120 per academic year). The first two years combine program-specific core modules with optional courses (sometimes from other Faculties), while subsequent years focus on specialized, research-oriented coursework.
