Those who complete a year overseas gain not only practical teaching experience but also enhance their language proficiency, cross-cultural understanding, and personal growth. This curriculum combines advanced study of French and Hebrew through research-focused instruction, fostering an appreciation for knowledge creation and development. The program cultivates independent scholarship characterized by inquisitiveness, precision, academic discipline, and ethical rigor. Spanning 48 months, this course leads to a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it follows a modular credit system requiring 480 credits total, typically 120 credits per academic year. The initial two years feature core program modules alongside elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary selections), while subsequent years focus on specialized, research-driven coursework.
