This program offers an in-depth exploration of Art History and Russian through research-focused study, enabling students to comprehend how knowledge evolves, progresses, and is revitalized. It fosters independent learning among all participants, cultivating qualities such as curiosity, integrity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 60 months, the curriculum culminates in a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules. Students are required to complete 540 credits over the program's duration, typically earning 120 credits per academic year. The initial two years generally feature core program-specific modules alongside elective options (sometimes including interdisciplinary Faculty offerings). Subsequent years focus on advanced, research-driven education through specialized program modules. The first two years usually incorporate both mandatory program courses and a selection of optional modules (potentially from other Faculties), while the later years emphasize tailored, research-oriented study.
