This four-year honors program, offered by the School of Art History, provides a comprehensive education that intersects with economic history, social studies, political science, literature, philosophy, and psychology - offering valuable contexts for understanding artistic works.
First-year studies focus on two key areas: European and global medieval/Renaissance art, emphasizing the social, political, and religious contexts of artistic production, and 17th-18th century European art and architecture (with broader global perspectives), exploring technological innovations, expanding viewership, and colonial influences.
