This program offers advanced study in Arabic, French, and Persian through research-focused instruction, enabling students to explore how knowledge evolves and expands. Participants will develop skills in independent learning, characterized by curiosity, precision, and academic rigor. Spanning 48 months, the curriculum leads to a Master of Arts (Honours) degree. Like all St Andrews programs, it consists of credit-based modules, requiring students to complete 480 credits (typically 120 per academic year). The initial two years combine mandatory program-specific courses with elective options, potentially including interdisciplinary selections. The final years emphasize specialized, research-driven coursework tailored to the program's focus. The first two years blend core requirements with flexible electives, sometimes from other faculties, while the latter stages concentrate on advanced, discipline-specific research modules.
