Our joint degree in Hungarian and Spanish provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, learners will undertake language courses in their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may enroll in interdisciplinary modules offered by SELCS and SSEES, covering literature, film studies, linguistics, and history from diverse academic viewpoints.
The third year involves studying abroad, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Students attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as complete beginners or with prior knowledge of the language.
