MSc Chemistry by Research - Functional Inorganic, Materials and Supramolecular Chemistry in Southampton United Kingdom | University of Southampton

Our work focuses on developing functional molecular, solid-state, and supramolecular materials to address critical needs in energy, sustainability, healthcare, and diagnostics. We explore various aspects of inorganic chemistry, spanning ligand design, coordination chemistry, metal-organic frameworks, mixed-anion compounds, porous frameworks, nanoparticles, and heterogeneous catalysts. By carefully adjusting composition and structure, we create innovative materials with tailored properties, specializing in applications like coatings and thin films. Leveraging inorganic chemistry tools, we develop photocatalysts, PET imaging agents, transparent conductors, single-site catalysts, and solutions for carbon capture, storage, and utilization.
