Explore the materials utilized in aircraft and spacecraft, their selection criteria, performance characteristics, and potential failure points. This program covers the design and production of high-speed aerospace vehicles, with a focus on materials science, structural engineering, and analytical methods. The MEng in Aeronautics and Astronautics with a specialization in Materials and Structures equips students for careers in engineering design or advanced research. The field examines the scientific principles, engineering practices, and manufacturing processes behind aircraft and spacecraft. Our aeronautical engineering curriculum teaches their operation both within Earth's atmosphere and in outer space. Students begin with aerospace engineering fundamentals before progressing to specialized coursework in materials science, structural design, and testing methodologies for aeronautical and manufacturing applications.
