Trace humanity's journey from the Aztec and Mayan civilizations to Ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire, and medieval times as you examine the narrative of human development and the birth of civilizations. A Bachelor's in Archaeology delves into the emergence of human communities, their transformations across eras, and the roots of modern cultural diversity.
Archaeology examines ancient human societies through their physical artifacts. Our undergraduate program equips you with versatile skills by investigating historical and contemporary human experiences. Through lab work, library research, and fieldwork, you'll master techniques for analyzing competing historical accounts. The curriculum includes hands-on excavation experience, requiring at least three weeks participation in an active research project—typically conducted during summer months at domestic or international sites—to prepare you for professional archaeological work.
