The Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aeronautical Engineering integrates our BEng (Hons) program with advanced Masters-level content. This pathway enables you to stand out with enhanced professional and technical capabilities while eliminating the requirement for additional funding to pursue a separate Masters degree. Aeronautical engineering professionals utilize their expertise across all facets of aircraft systems, encompassing design, manufacturing, flight testing, certification, airworthiness maintenance, and sustainable aviation practices. You'll explore fundamental engineering concepts essential for aerospace careers while gaining hands-on training at our cutting-edge Aerospace Centre. When conditions allow, third-year students participate in actual flight test sessions. Your academic journey will be enriched through industrial placements, practical experience, and visits to leading facilities like GE Aviation Wales, Airbus Filton, and British Airways Maintenance Cardiff (BAMC).

Developed in partnership with industry leaders, this MEng program maintains rigorous standards aligned with contemporary workplace demands. The curriculum fulfills the academic prerequisites for achieving Chartered Engineer (CEng) status through either the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) or the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). We maintain strong connections with regional aviation sector partners including GE Aviation, BAMC, Nordam Europe, TES Aviation Group, and other Aerospace Wales Forum members. Our graduates have secured positions with prominent UK organizations such as Rolls Royce, Sogeclair Aerospace, GE Aviation, MBDA, Zodiac, Easy Jet, Flybe, Airbus, BAMC, Gatwick Airport, and TES Aviation.
