This Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program is accredited under aviation regulations, as outlined by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), providing hands-on experience with actual aircraft. As the sole UK university combining the industry-standard 'EASA Part 66' maintenance certification with an Honours degree at one location, we offer a unique educational pathway. After completing mandatory EASA training, you can qualify for both EASA Part 66 and GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licenses in just two years - a process that typically demands five years of field experience. Note that additional expenses may apply for required professional training. Our institution holds CAA and CAR 147 approved Maintenance Training Organization status, meaning our on-campus Aerospace Center replicates authentic aircraft conditions and meets global commercial aviation standards. This setup not only complies with EASA and GCAA requirements but also facilitates your transition from academic studies to professional work. Students can also pursue practical training worldwide through any University-approved Part 145 Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider. This program is additionally offered at our Dubai campus.
