This program mirrors our aerospace engineering curriculum but includes introductory flight training. Students can coordinate with nearby flight schools to pursue a UK or European Private Pilot's License, pending medical and security clearance.
Coursework explores aero propulsion, aerodynamic design, aircraft dynamics and control, computational aerodynamics, and project management. The curriculum includes ground instruction, five hours of actual flight training, hands-on experience with flight instruments, and a self-selected research project.
Participants also engage in the Global Engineering Challenge, collaborating in teams to address real-world engineering issues in developing nations. This initiative helps shape professional engineering skills and boosts career opportunities.
