Additionally, you'll acquire hands-on experience with the real-world challenges of building dependable, efficient software systems for commercial or industrial applications. While earning a salary during your placement, you'll also benefit from lower tuition fees that year.
You'll develop the ability to grasp problem-solving theories and learn to construct engineered solutions. You'll also gain practical knowledge about creating robust, high-performing software systems for business and industry environments.
Beyond programming and analytical thinking, you'll have opportunities to collaborate in teams and refine your communication abilities. During your third year, you'll undertake a dissertation project that allows for creative and intellectual expression.
An optional industry year lets you apply academic knowledge in practice, sharpen your skills, and boost career opportunities. While receiving compensation during this placement, you'll also enjoy reduced tuition costs for that academic year.
In your final year, you can join a research team and collaborate with faculty in our laboratories. You may also choose to engage with Geneys - our student-run software development initiative.
