Our students gain a comprehensive understanding of journalism's broader implications: press freedom, the spread of misinformation, ethical media practices, and global media trends. If you're passionate about exploring these topics in depth, this program is designed for you.
This research-intensive course blends theoretical examination of global media issues like misinformation and press freedom with hands-on journalism training.

You'll analyze journalism through an international lens, evaluating different media systems and practices worldwide. Our faculty will include you in groundbreaking discussions about their research on media's role in society and governance during this pivotal era for free speech.

During your first term, you'll participate in International Journalism Week - an exclusive chance to interact with leading scholars and media professionals globally. This annual series of lectures, panels, and workshops covers diverse topics from conflict reporting to media representation. While open to all department students, the event specifically caters to MA Global Journalism candidates.
