Socially engaged art aims to achieve this by working together with communities, through joint creation and production efforts that shape environments, perspectives, or experiences. Frequently, the collaborative journey holds equal significance to the resulting artworks.

Learners will receive guidance to examine urgent societal challenges including inclusion, mental wellbeing, housing insecurity, urban renewal, and environmental sustainability, among others. This enables participants to investigate diverse real-world situations. Participants will then be assisted in employing artistic methods to foster discussions and dialogue about these subjects with key community members.

Throughout history, creatives have leveraged their talents to spotlight important issues. If you aspire to join the new wave of socially conscious artists – whether through intensive or flexible study – our program in socially engaged art practice is designed for you.

We also welcome inquiries from those exploring curatorial or production positions in social practice, alongside artistic implementation roles.
