You'll learn from a dynamic, multidisciplinary faculty engaged in cutting-edge research on sustainability, energy, and development. Through partnerships between our Department and industry leaders, students can participate in innovative initiatives promoting environmental and social sustainability worldwide. These include programs enhancing climate adaptation in developing nations, advancing inclusion across Europe, studying local government's transformative potential in northeast England, and examining the societal impacts of emerging technologies.

The curriculum cultivates essential skills in critical analysis, interpretation, synthesis, and communication. Qualification Requirements

A minimum 2:1 Honours degree from a UK institution (or the overseas equivalent) in a relevant subject. References play an important part in the admissions process. Students need to have: IELTS: 6.5 with no component under 6.0; TOEFL iBT: 92 (no component under 23); 176 (minimum of 169 per component) in Cambridge Scale (CPE or CAE; Pearson Academic (PTE): 62 (with no less than 56 in each Communicative Skill).
