Mental health nurses offer support and treatment to individuals facing mental health challenges, working across various settings including community centers, specialized hospitals, and healthcare facilities.
Half of your academic program involves hands-on experience in hospital and community environments within the NHS and private sector, including opportunities in correctional facilities. You'll train in a supportive setting under the guidance of qualified practice assessors and supervisors.
Graduating from this program grants you a recognized nursing degree, enabling registration as a professional nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
This three-semester-per-year program blends theoretical knowledge with practical application in every module.
The curriculum covers assisting individuals through severe mental distress, addressing substance abuse and behavioral issues, and providing long-term care for chronic mental health conditions.
