Our BA in Archaeology and History merges historical exploration with hands-on archaeological education. You'll investigate history through its political, social, and cultural dimensions while learning archaeological methods to analyze physical artifacts from our earliest ancestors to modern times. The history curriculum spans a millennium across diverse regions including Britain, Europe, Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and South Asia. You'll engage with various historical materials - from written documents and artworks to photographs, films, and oral histories.
By combining these disciplines, you'll gain a comprehensive perspective on human civilization. The program develops your ability to critically assess written records while interpreting tangible evidence from archaeological discoveries, offering deeper insights into past societies.
