Our research focuses on the intersection of music with various artistic disciplines, employing and advancing cross-disciplinary methodologies.
We accept diverse doctoral research proposals across multiple specializations. Our faculty consists of globally renowned experts in their respective fields. Prospective candidates should seek out potential supervisors to refine their research ideas. Typically completed full-time in three years or part-time in six years (with an optional additional year for thesis completion and examination).
As a doctoral candidate, you will:
produce a comprehensive written dissertation (maximum 100,000 words) with guidance from academic advisors
defend your research orally (viva voce) before an examination committee
Select from various optional courses, chosen in collaboration with your supervisory team, including specialized music studies and research development modules.
