The BSc Podiatry program at the University of Northampton prepares students for professional practice in both NHS and private healthcare settings across the UK and internationally. Students gain hands-on experience through clinical placements at our state-of-the-art Podiatry Clinic located near Northampton General Hospital, featuring cutting-edge equipment.

Graduates of this podiatry degree will be fully prepared to launch their own clinical practices and pursue diverse career opportunities worldwide.

The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical clinical training. First-year students complete local placements following foundational pre-clinical studies. The second year focuses on orthopaedic and physical medicine through both on-campus clinics and regional/national placements. Final-year students rotate through specialized clinics treating high-risk patients, sports injuries, and pediatric cases, while also learning to perform procedures using local anesthesia. Top students may have the chance to assist with injury care at the London Marathon under faculty supervision.
