They pioneered the UK's inaugural podiatry degree program and take pride in their distinguished history of education and research. Podiatrists are healthcare specialists focused on treating foot and lower limb conditions, assisting patients in preserving their health through various interventions like podiatric therapies, minor surgical procedures, orthotic devices, physical activity guidance, and patient education.
Podiatry is an exceptionally adaptable, fulfilling, and diverse career path. This accredited program provides hands-on training at our in-house podiatry clinic, allowing students to begin patient care during their first year. You'll complete 1,000 clinical hours, gaining crucial NHS patient experience and case management skills before professional qualification. The curriculum also includes independent research components.
Choosing podiatry studies at Brighton enables specialization through elective modules in areas like diabetic foot care, musculoskeletal treatment, and rheumatology.
