Our PhD/MPhil Epidemiology program allows you to pursue a research project that advances knowledge in Epidemiology. Key research areas focus on autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, neurological/psychiatric conditions, cognitive genetic epidemiology, male reproductive health, and population-level cancer studies. Specifically, our work examines: disease patterns and health behaviors in relation to complex person-environment-time interactions and disparities, genetic/genomic approaches to health research (especially with longitudinal clinical data), molecular epidemiology using 'omics technologies, risk prediction models, and non-molecular factors like occupational/environmental health determinants, development of complex interventions informed by interdisciplinary insights from anthropology, social sciences, health psychology and urban design, innovative methods for capturing behavioral and outcome data through digital/web-based approaches including crowdsourcing, social media analysis, geospatial mapping, and machine learning techniques.
