The UCL EGA Institute for Women's Health (EGA IfWH) combines UCL's academic expertise with the clinical capabilities of UCL Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust, supporting diverse research spanning fundamental science to clinical applications. Our programs cultivate both academic proficiency and hands-on laboratory/clinical experience, preparing graduates for varied career paths. We investigate women's health across all life stages - from adolescence through childbearing years to postmenopausal health - aiming to improve outcomes nationally and worldwide. Studies span maternal-fetal medicine, newborn care, reproductive health, and gynecologic cancers, uniting top specialists in these disciplines. Researchers benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, innovative clinical-translational projects, and methodological guidance. Our collaborative environment extends beyond UCL/UCLH partnerships to include multidisciplinary work with experts in pediatrics, public health, global medicine, psychology, and biomedical technologies. A unifying strategy enhances our research and educational initiatives, ultimately benefiting healthcare providers and the women, mothers, and infants they serve worldwide.
