Our PhD/MPhil Endodontics program offers the opportunity to conduct a research project advancing knowledge in Endodontics. This field addresses several critical endodontic challenges. Current investigations involve developing innovative root canal sealers, integrating various bioactive glass materials, evaluating handling characteristics, and conducting root canal analyses with x-ray microtomography. All doctoral candidates participate in the Doctoral Academy Training Program offered by the Centre for Academic and Researcher Development (CARD), gaining essential transferable competencies in commercial awareness, scholarly writing, and public outreach. This preparation empowers graduates to transition from their research studies into leadership roles across academia, industry, and consulting. The focus lies on cultivating vital abilities for emerging researchers and professionals, including impactful communication, research dissemination, and project leadership capabilities.

Qualification Requirements

Students need to have an Upper Second class Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a related subject area for entry to a PhD programme. A Lower Second class Honours degree may be considered if applicants also hold a Masters degree with a Merit classification. We require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall or TOEFL (iBT) 90.
