Our Clinical Dentistry PhD program provides the opportunity to pursue a research initiative that advances knowledge in Clinical Dentistry. This 4-year doctoral program integrates hands-on clinical practice across various dental specialties with comprehensive research education. As the sole UK institution offering this structured four-year PhD, we're proud to present this innovative addition to our postgraduate offerings. Available in endodontics, prosthodontics (both fixed and removable), periodontics, oral/maxillofacial surgery, and orthodontics, this program lets you simultaneously engage in research and clinical work throughout your Manchester studies. You'll choose your research focus and academic advisor conventionally, then specify your preference for the four-year track. A clinical mentor will be assigned to align with your selected specialty area.
