Our MA in Medieval and Early Modern Studies offers you the chance to explore European literature, history, and culture from the Middle Ages through the Early Modern era. The University of Manchester boasts a rich tradition of scholarship in this field, supported by our vibrant Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEMS). As an MA student, you'll join MEMS throughout your program, gaining access to lectures, seminars, and conferences alongside your coursework. The program benefits from its location at the John Rylands Research Institute, where you'll work alongside leading researchers. The renowned John Rylands Library contains extraordinary medieval and early modern collections, providing exceptional research resources.
