The PhD program in Electrical and Electronic Engineering enhances your comprehension of research methodologies while refining your analytical capabilities within specialized research domains. This program offers training in effectively presenting research findings through both written reports and oral presentations, while imparting cutting-edge expertise and investigative techniques valuable for academic and industrial settings. Participants in this program are registered as off-campus postgraduate researchers with the University of Liverpool. Your research will be conducted at XJTLU facilities under the mentorship of a supervisory panel, consisting of a primary (local) supervisor from XJTLU's full-time faculty and a secondary supervisor affiliated with the University of Liverpool.
A full-time PhD typically spans three years of active research followed by one year dedicated to thesis composition, complemented by discipline-specific and transferable skills training. Full-time candidates must complete their thesis within four years, while part-time students have six years to submit.
