Participants in this program register as off-campus research students with the University of Liverpool while conducting their investigations at XJTLU facilities under expert supervision.
Each candidate receives guidance from a principal XJTLU-based supervisor (a full-time faculty member) alongside a secondary advisor from the University of Liverpool.
Full-time doctoral candidates typically dedicate three years to research and one year to thesis composition, supplemented by specialized training. The maximum submission period is four years for full-time students and six years for part-time scholars. Full-time PhD researchers may qualify for a six-month study period at the University of Liverpool, with travel and accommodation expenses covered by both institutions.
XJTLU allocates up to 16,500 RMB in conference funding per doctoral candidate throughout their studies to facilitate academic growth, research dissemination, and strengthen the university's research reputation globally.
