Computer science is a dynamic and multifaceted field encompassing everything from overseeing large-scale IT initiatives to pioneering groundbreaking theories and technologies. We adopt an energetic, methodical, and scientifically rigorous approach to computing. Our faculty members have significantly influenced contemporary developments in Informatics, which directly informs our educational programs featuring cutting-edge, high-caliber courses. Doctoral candidates undertake self-directed research projects with support from an advisory team, typically spanning 3.0-3.5 years for full-time students or 6.0-6.5 years for part-time students. An additional year (or remaining portion) may be utilized for thesis preparation before evaluation. The dissertation, limited to 50,000 words, must present novel insights and research worthy of publication. Candidates must successfully defend their work in an oral examination (viva voce) to earn their degree.
