The course offers rigorous preparation for PhD studies and professional development. We'll walk you through each research stage while building transferable competencies like analytical reasoning, organizational skills, effective communication, and solution-focused approaches.
Methodological training will be specifically adapted to palaeoanthropology and your research proposal. You'll collaborate to create a personalized reading list and customized assessment activities leading to a comprehensive research project.
Learn to formulate research questions, locate pertinent evidence and resources, design and execute investigations, then interpret and communicate results. The program investigates modern approaches to studying human evolution and ancestral environments while addressing the complexities of interpreting early hominid behavior.
You'll work with leading scholars from the Department of Archaeology, Classics, and Egyptology. Our MRes supervisors are actively involved in cutting-edge research spanning early prehistory through late antiquity, with expertise in evolutionary theory, cultural development, Upper Paleolithic art, and skeletal analysis.
