The Department of Communication and Media organizes its research around four specialized clusters, each focusing on critical, cross-disciplinary examinations of diverse forms of mediated communication in various social contexts - the Culture, Space and Memory group, the Discourse & Society team, the Media, Politics and Society cluster, and the Screen & Film Studies unit. Our department takes pride in its holistic approach to studying communication and media, covering everything from political discourse to cultural analysis, from heritage sectors to digital platforms, and from traditional film/TV to emerging social media technologies. We consistently produce pioneering research that connects with central themes in this dynamic academic discipline.
