Pursue Avionic Systems studies at Liverpool and join a key sector within the aerospace field. The term avionics refers to electronic flight systems, encompassing everything from onboard control mechanisms to aircraft communications. This degree program equips you for diverse career paths including radar technology, GPS/navigation systems, guidance and control engineering, and avionics design.
The MEng curriculum offers more advanced specialization than the BEng, providing a quicker pathway to achieving Chartered Engineer status.
Our industry partnerships ensure hands-on experience with professional-grade tools and methodologies. Many student projects originate from real-world industry challenges tackled by faculty, such as creating infrared tracking for missile detection or developing terrain-avoidance flight controls.
Our Avionics courses include optional flight training, allowing first-year students to work toward either an NPPL or full JAA/PPL, with second-year options to progress toward an fATPL. Those aiming for commercial pilot careers can pursue the fATPL qualification.
