Pursue Avionic Systems studies at Liverpool and join one of aerospace's most crucial sectors. The field of avionics encompasses all electronic flight systems, ranging from internal controls to airborne communications. This degree program equips you for diverse career paths including radar technology, GPS/inertial navigation, guidance systems, and avionics design.
Our industry partnerships ensure hands-on training with professional-grade tools and methodologies. Many student projects originate from real-world industry challenges our faculty has tackled, such as creating infrared tracking for missile detection systems and developing terrain-avoidance flight controls for low-altitude operations.
Your third year features an industrial placement at an engineering firm, providing essential practical experience to enhance your professional profile.
Our Avionics curriculum offers optional flight training, allowing you to work toward either a National Private Pilot's Licence (NPPL) or full JAA/PPL in year one, followed by the frozen Air Transport Pilot's Licence (fATPL) in year two. Aspiring commercial pilots can complete their fATPL requirements through our program.
