A Zoology degree offers comprehensive knowledge and skills not just for zoology careers, but also prepares you for work in environmental, agricultural, and pharmaceutical sectors. The Master of Zoology (MBiol) is a four-year program where students complete the three-year BSc in Zoology first, then progress to a fourth year based on academic performance.
During the initial three years, you'll explore diverse subjects like animal behavior, conservation biology, ecology, evolution, and animal physiology, with chances to specialize and conduct independent research.
The final Master's year focuses on advancing research capabilities and professional skills for students pursuing high-level research careers (such as PhD studies or industry roles) or those wanting to strengthen their qualifications. Participants will join a research team to complete a substantial project. Opportunities include applying for a six-week summer research placement (domestically or internationally) or arranging industry work experience during the final year.
