With UK pet ownership growing steadily, professionals like trainers and behaviorists are in higher demand than ever. This course blends animal management and science, featuring studies in behavior, nutrition, health, reproduction, and biochemistry.
At ARU Writtle, you'll learn from expert faculty and utilize specialized facilities like canine/equine centers, a small animal unit, and an operational farm. Hands-on training includes working with various domesticated and captive species, alongside laboratory sessions.
During your studies, you'll have opportunities to participate in exclusive behind-the-scenes visits and unique experiences.
Our program is accredited by the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC). Graduates can pursue careers as animal trainers, instructors, behavior technicians, or clinical behaviorists. You'll also qualify for provisional membership with the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors.
