Whether you're just starting your career or have years of architectural experience, our MA in Advanced Architecture (previously known as MA in Architecture) enhances your expertise in architectural design. This adaptable program covers fundamental design processes and research methodologies while allowing you to specialize. You can sharpen your design and technical abilities or prepare for doctoral research through focused study paths. Choose from various specializations to tailor your education to your passions and background - whether in computational design, AI, digital fabrication, robotics, VR/AR, sustainable architecture, BIM, environmental analysis, digital preservation, or any combination. The program includes field visits to top exhibitions and firms, plus networking with professionals from leading studios like Heatherwick Studio, Foster + Partners, and Zaha Hadid Architects, who frequently participate in our design critiques.
You will normally need a 2:1 honours degree or above, or equivalent, in an appropriate field of study. For example, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior/Art Design, Civil/Structural Engineering or Urban Design. Please contact us if you wish to check whether your degree subject is suitable, however a wide spectrum of subjects are acceptable.
TOEFL iBT    88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: Listening and Writing 19, Reading 19, Speaking 20.
International Baccalaureate    Standard Level (Grade 5)
IELTS - Overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0
