For those enthusiastic about addressing contemporary and future challenges in urban, suburban, and rural communities, and who aspire to influence the development of our built and natural landscapes while studying planning in one of the world's most dynamic cities, the MA or PG Diploma in Town and Country Planning offers the perfect solution. These programs emphasize the relationship between communities and their surroundings, exploring how to promote high-quality developments in appropriate locations.
At LSBU, we train the next generation of British urban planners with a strong focus on the UK planning system, while also incorporating global viewpoints to enable valuable comparisons.
The MA program holds full accreditation from the RTPI. The PgDip achieves full accreditation when pursued after completing the BA UEP. With two years of relevant professional experience (including at least one year as a registered licentiate), you can qualify to take the RTPI Assessment of Professional Competence exam and attain chartered membership status.
Our faculty members specialize in diverse planning disciplines and maintain active research profiles, with extensive involvement in national and international research collaborations, initiatives, and publications.
Full-time MA duration: 1 year starting September
