Our RTPI and RICS-accredited MSc in Spatial Planning and Development serves as the perfect launchpad for aspiring planners and surveyors, enhancing essential planning and development competencies applicable across various spatial dimensions. You'll gain theoretical foundations, critical perspectives, and hands-on capabilities to realize your professional goals while making meaningful contributions to planning policies and practices both in the UK and internationally.

Planning and development occur within complex, sometimes inequitable societies, often becoming subjects of intense discussion and conflict. Alongside developing specialized expertise, we'll guide you in cultivating professional discernment and awareness of broader ethical, political, and ecological considerations. We encourage you to critically examine conventional approaches, challenge assumptions, and develop well-reasoned, independent viewpoints.

While emphasizing planning in developed market economies (particularly the UK and Europe), our program adopts a comparative approach, ensuring the skills you acquire remain relevant across diverse planning environments worldwide.
