With over 50 years of pioneering research and robust collaborations with global industries and partners, Leicester's vibrant scientific community explores the farthest reaches of space, spearheads robotic missions to study our solar system, and enhances understanding of Earth's delicate climate. Doctoral candidates undertake self-directed research projects with faculty supervision, typically spanning 3-3.5 years full-time or 6-6.5 years part-time. An additional year (or remaining portion) may be allocated for thesis preparation. The dissertation, capped at 50,000 words, must present novel findings worthy of publication.
