The Department of Molecular and Cell Biology conducts diverse research spanning physicochemical processes to cellular and developmental biology. Doctoral candidates undertake an autonomous research initiative supervised by faculty advisors. Typically, full-time students finish within 3.0-3.5 years, while part-time students have 6.0-6.5 years. An additional year (or remaining portion) may be utilized for thesis preparation. The dissertation, limited to 50,000 words, must present novel findings worthy of publication.
