Pursuing an MA or MSc by Research offers a valuable chance to enhance your analytical abilities and deepen your scholarly focus in a specific area. This Research Master's program spans 12 months (or 24 months part-time) and differs from traditional taught Master's degrees by centering on designing, executing, and documenting a research initiative. You'll receive guidance from two faculty supervisors and have the opportunity to publish your findings upon completion. In physical geography, applicants typically select from predefined research topics, whereas human geography students often develop their own proposals. We welcome innovative research ideas across both branches of geography, provided our faculty can offer appropriate supervision. Browse our staff profiles to explore potential mentors who can help refine your project concept or suggest available research opportunities.
