The Master of Philosophy degree is granted upon completion of a substantial thesis (typically 200 pages or 60,000 words). Examiners must confirm your ability to conduct research and/or produce scholarly work of publishable standard that could withstand peer evaluation, representing what could reasonably be achieved within two to three years of full-time study (or four to six years for part-time candidates). Additionally, you must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in your chosen research field. This program is ideal for students with two years of research funding available.
Our research focuses on critical issues in climate science and its real-world effects. We investigate pressing concerns with significant societal implications, such as glacial melting, the relationship between air pollution and climate patterns, and global food supply stability. Through analyzing historical and current climate data, we produce impactful research that enhances understanding of climate change and supports strategic planning for future adaptation measures.
