An MSc or MA by Research offers a self-directed approach to learning, where your evaluation and degree are based on research work. Pursuing an MA or MSc by Research provides a stimulating chance to enhance your analytical abilities and deepen your scholarly focus in a specific area. This research-based Master's program spans 12 months (or 24 months part-time), differing from traditional taught Master's degrees as it centers on designing, executing, and documenting a research initiative. You'll receive guidance from two faculty supervisors and have the opportunity to publish your findings upon completion.

Our research focuses on critical issues in climate science and its effects. We examine pressing societal concerns such as glacial melt, the relationship between air quality and climate patterns, and global food supply stability. Through insights gained from historical and current climate data, we produce impactful research on climate change and its consequences, supporting informed decision-making for future preparedness and adaptation strategies.
