The Masters by Research program offers you the opportunity to conduct in-depth independent research at the Masters level under the mentorship of IDEA Centre faculty. You'll develop and execute a research project on a subject of your choosing, supported by two supervisors, culminating in a thesis of approximately 30,000 words. Our institution boasts a distinguished legacy in philosophical history research, with faculty actively applying these insights to contemporary ethical studies. Past research initiatives have examined Kantian philosophy, American Pragmatism, and Classical Philosophy, while we maintain collaborative ties with the School of Philosophy, Religion and the History of Science to facilitate doctoral research in our specialized fields.
