An MA by Research in Ancient History allows you to pursue a personalized research project driven by your historical interests. This program lasts one year for full-time students or two years for part-time participants. It's ideal both as a capstone to previous coursework or as preparation for doctoral studies. You'll produce a 40,000-word thesis showcasing original scholarship that advances the field, followed by an oral defense. Research topics may explore any aspect of classical civilization - from Mycenaean Greece through the Roman Empire's decline.
