The curriculum explores why art historical study remains vital in today's world, focusing particularly on social and political perspectives - whether examining contemporary works or tracing the cultural foundations of our societies. Our scope ranges from Medieval and Renaissance masterpieces to current live art practices, encompassing both local artistic traditions and global creative expressions from Africa, Asia, and other regions. We treat art as fundamental to shaping our collective and diverse social realities.
