The Centre for Arts, Memory and Communities (CAMC) serves as one of three research hubs within Coventry University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Under the leadership of Professor Patricia Phillippy, CAMC fosters a dynamic research environment that integrates three key academic themes: Critical Practices, Cultural Memory, and Arts in Well-being. Our approach combines transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives - we maintain rigorous standards within our specialized fields while embracing the transformative potential of cross-disciplinary collaboration to enhance both academic disciplines and community engagement. CAMC provides an outstanding setting where distinguished researchers, artists, and creative professionals from diverse backgrounds actively collaborate while supporting emerging scholars and postgraduate researchers. We invite postgraduate students to join our celebrated research community, where they can investigate fertile ground for innovation and discovery under the mentorship of field specialists. Our expertise spans Art History, Corpus Linguistics, Cultural History, Curatorial Studies, English Literature and Creative Writing, Memory Studies, Material Culture, and Practice-Based Arts Research.
At CAMC, we've created a distinctive space where top-tier researchers, artists, and creative professionals across disciplines actively engage with one another's work while dedicating themselves to developing the next generation of scholars. Our prestigious research community offers postgraduate students unparalleled opportunities to investigate cutting-edge areas of study with guidance from leading authorities in their respective fields.
