This program enables you to explore the complete spectrum of English literature while examining the classical works that inspired the literary canon and the historical backdrop that influenced them. Foundational courses will familiarize you with Greek and Roman civilizations, essential works like the Iliad and Aeneid, as well as English poetry, drama, and prose. You can also choose from diverse elective modules covering subjects ranging from medieval romance and Platonic philosophy to creative writing, Greek mythology, postcolonial literature, Roman history, and modern reinterpretations of classical themes. Additionally, you'll have opportunities to begin or continue studying Ancient Greek or Latin throughout your academic journey.
